Brad had an appointment at the spa this morning to get a massage, so I went to breakfast with the boys then took them to the pool. Jack found some boys his age to play with, so he was having a great time. Matthew has had his brother to himself all summer, so he felt left out. The older boys were playing basketball in the pool with a floating hoop and they were a little too aggressive for Matthew. He was happy when Brad came to the pool and went in the water with him. Yesterday we saw lots of people riding bikes and Matthew really wanted to rent bikes, so after hanging out at the pool a little longer, we got changed and walked to the bike rental place. We decided to ride our bikes to Coligny Plaza to have lunch and by the time we got there we were all hot and sweaty. We decided to take the more scenic route back to the bike rental place, so we rode our bikes on the beach. Yes, that's right, we rode the bikes ON the beach. The beaches in South Carolina are a lot different than the ones in California. I would never even dream of riding a bike on the sand at home. We had a great time, but I think Matthew had the best time of all because he didn't have to work that hard. His "bike" was attached to Brad's so he didn't have to pedal if he didn't feel like it. After we returned our bikes we walked back to the hotel and relaxed for a while before heading to the beach. The boys were on the cranky side, so we didn't stay as long as we wanted to. We had a huge pile of laundry to do, so we went to the laundry mat, went out to dinner, then put the kids to bed.
