We got a late start this morning because we were all tired from our adventure yesterday. We didn't make it downstairs in time for breakfast so we ate at Lincoln's Waffle House. Matthew was so hungry he ate his whole waffle and if you know my son, you know he must have been starving because he normally doesn't eat much for breakfast. After breakfast we went across the street to Madame Tussauds Wax Museum because Jack and Matthew wanted to see all 44 Presidents immortalized in wax. We also saw celebrities like Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Michael Jackson, Elton John and Julia Roberts. Some of the wax figures were really good and others didn't look like the person at all. When had had our fill of wax people, we walked to the White House to get pictures of it during the daytime. Matthew was starving again, so we ate lunch, then went to the Supreme Court because Jack wanted to see the courtroom. We only got to see the exhibit hall because the courtroom is closed for two weeks for cleaning. It started raining, so we took a taxi back to our hotel. We relaxed for a little while before driving to the Jefferson Memorial. We had dinner in Virginia, which is just across the bridge from D.C. and when we got back to the hotel the boys wanted to go swimming so Brad took them to the pool. I was hoping for an early night, but no such luck. Tomorrow we pack up and drive 6 hours to Charlotte, North Carolina. It's hard to believe that we have less than a week left of our driving trip.
