Since we didn't have high hopes of seeing Yogi and Boo Boo in Yellowstone we took the boys to the Grizzly and Wolf Wildlife Center in West Yellowstone near our hotel to see bears up close and personal. They both liked watching the bears looking for food and running through their pond. Matthew was especially excited to get pictures of the bears. We also saw wolves playing in a stream and running around.
We spent the rest of the day in Yellowstone, stopping at different places to see geysers and hot springs. I think Jack is going to be traumatized for life because he was seriously freaked out by what would happen to him if he fell into one of them. A little bit of steam got on him from a geyser and you would think the end of the world was coming. He read somewhere that your skin could melt off and he's been obsessing over it ever since. It was a really windy day and it rained off and on all afternoon, which didn't help the mood of our children. We were at Old Faithful when it started to rain and Matthew started freaking out. You'd think he was going to melt because he was getting a little wet. These boys are spoiled with our Southern California weather.
