The only thing the boys could think about when they woke up this morning was going to the pool. I took them to the pool while Brad went to the gym. Jack and Matthew were very excited to see Arnie, Jay and Greg at the pool when we got there. They had a lot of fun having water wars with their uncles and swimming with Papa. They stayed for an hour and then left to go mountain biking. Cate's sister, Chris, her niece, Alyssa and Alyssa's kids joined us at the pool. The boys had fun playing with their East Coast cousins. We ended up having lunch with Chris, Alyssa, Mia and Michael. Then we had to get ready for the big event: Jessica and Jason's wedding.
We had to take a gondola up the mountain because the wedding was at the ski lodge. It was such a beautiful day and a great location for a wedding. The bride look absolutely beautiful and the groom wasn't looking too bad himself. They wrote their own vows and I have to admit I got a little teary eyed. There is no doubt in my mind how in love the two of them are with each other. After the ceremony we took more family photos (there were some before the ceremony also), then we had dinner, listened to a lot of wonderful speeches and danced. It was probably one of the best weddings, besides my own, that I have been to. Everything just seemed perfect and everyone was having a great time. Our friend, Liz, was also at the wedding because she babysat Jessica, Nicole and Jay when they were growing up and she was determined to attend at least one of their weddings. It was nice having her there because she always knows how to have a good time.
The boys were with a babysitter that Jessica and Jason had hired to watch all of the kids and when we picked up the boys at 11:30 she said that Matthew hadn't eaten anything all night. Of course he was hungry and very tired, so we fed him when we got back to our room and then put him to bed. By the time Jack and Matthew went to bed it was 12:30. I know at least one boy who will be sleeping in.
