Las Vegas - Day 20

We ended our trip right where we started it - in Vegas. The Effrons met us at The Buffet at the Wynn hotel for brunch. The kids were excited to have their own table. This buffet was much better than the one at Mandalay Bay because they only charge half price for kids 8 and under. We just told them we had two kids and two adults and no one questioned Jack's age. I don't know about anyone else, but I think the best part of a buffet are the desserts. Yum! After brunch we stopped off at the Ferrari showroom so Jack could drool over his dream car. Then we went swimming at the pool at Encore. The kids wanted to get in one last swim. They have been so spoiled with pools at every hotel. We let the kids swim until 3 because we had a late check-out. Then we headed over to Circus Circus. Jack wasn't feeling that great, so we didn't spend a lot of time there. Our last stop was to the outlet mall. I wanted to check out the Volcom store because the outlet has the sweatshirts the boys like for half the price. They looked at Brad like he was crazy when he asked if they had any in stock. I guess it's not sweatshirt weather in Vegas. They had the sweatshirts at the Volcom outlet in Park City, but not the right size. I guess we will have to keep looking on our next trip. I got a pair of shoes at Steve Madden and a purse at Coach (it was 40% off the sale price). Jack got a Celtics jersey and Matthew got a Heat jersey. We were going to have dinner with the Effrons before we all began the long drive home, but Jack still wasn't feeling himself, so we parted ways at the outlet mall. Jack was asleep within five minutes of getting in the car. We stopped at Stateline to pick up fast food and get gas, then continued on our drive home. Matthew fell asleep not long after eating dinner, so we had a peaceful drive home. Jack woke up at 11 pm and was hungry. Luckily we had bought him dinner. We got home a little after midnight. It was so nice to be home, but also strange after being gone for almost three weeks.

Number of miles driven - 3,174
Number of National Parks visited - 5

We hope you have enjoyed reading about our first summer adventure. Our trip across country begins on July 24th, so come back and see what is up next for the Serkin Family.
